I read the verse of the day this morning and it immediately drew me into a closer look. The verse of the day was in Romans.
For the creation eagerly waits with anticipation for God’s sons to be revealed.
Romans 8:19 (HCSB)
While reading it was giving me a 'gee wiz Wally' moment I pulled it up in NIRV and then expanded the reading to the 18th verse to get context.
"What we are suffering now is nothing compared with the glory that will be shown in us. Everything God created looks forward to the time when his children will appear in their full and final glory."
Wow! There is the perspective. What we go though now is nothing compared to the glory that is coming. All of nature (God's creation) is waiting, anticipating when we are transformed.
So now the 'gee wiz Wally' moment is so much more! A passage of strength, to help us through our daily trials and tribulations, knowing what God has in store for us down the path.
